Beaded Handbag Charm , My latest project

Taking a break before  moving on to a bigger project , I thought of  making something small and quick , and to practice my wire working skills , I decided to make something in wire . If you have seen my earlier post , you would have seen the copper connections that I had made for the Tribal Twist necklace . The flexibility of wire and the end result after bending and wrapping fascinated me . And so , to create  I decided to make a pendant .

Using the large  copper pod bead from my collection , I added color using a foil  bead in aqua and a couple of lime green beads .

But after attaching the beads ,  I found that it was looking a bit too long for a pendant and so I decided to bead around the copper pod bead .

And then one thing lead to another  , and  the spirals followed.

Finally on completion , it turned out to be a beautiful charm that I am going to use to add a touch of decoration to a bag .

what do you think ? Does this make a nice handbag charm , enhancing the look of a bag ?

And do you also start off with something and end up making something entirely different , learning all way ?

 Waiting to hear from you

  2. Wow, this charm is amazing. Beautiful colours and yet it is not too glittery. I just loved it as soon as i saw it. And I haven't see spiral used in such a unique way anywhere else. Do you get your beads online?

    1. Thank you for appreciating my work . I got the copper beads from a friend in U S some years ago but had kept them away as was not sure at that time what I could create using them . But now thankfully they were perfect to use with copper wire and so this charm
