Welcome

Hi friends,

Today , talking to my friend, mentor, guru  I finally gathered enough courage to post on this blog. I have been a keen browser on the world wide web, a hobby that has inspired , taught and awed me with all the crafts I have been seeing other bloggers make.
This blog is about my journey in creating items of craft that I hold very close to my heart.
As a child I always saw my mother and other ladies of my family labouring painstakingly over a piece of embroidery . The hot summer afternoons, usually siesta time for most women in those days was utilised by my mother and aunts to create wonderful embroidered sarees that even today occupy the most coveted place in my wardrobe.
Learning the intricacies of Kutch embroidery, beadwork , zardosi, always fascinated me as a child. But somehow marriage, leaving my hometown and settling down to a new life forced me to shelve my dreams for some years.
But the thirst to learn and create things of beauty, made me turn towards the web and I found so many fellow crafters who inspired me! What a happy day it was when I first started to browse the web  . It was as if I had entered Alladin`s cave with all the treasures beckoning me !
Thank`s to all the bloggers out there for all the inspiration.

And a very big thanks to Divya of Jewels of Sayuri  It is only because of you that I got courage to put the 1st post on my blog!
